Winstrol is the more popular name for Stanozolol which is a strong anabolic steroid. This is a steroid that is synthetic. It was developed in the year 1962 by the Winthrop Laboratories. This is not an esterified steroid like most other steroids. This is taken orally either in the form of a tablet or in an aqueous form. This is sold in the tablet form because the hormone survives even after liver metabolism due to its C15 alpha alkylation.

This steroid is used for muscle growth and improvement in bone density. It has also been successful in treating patients suffering from anemia as it is known for the red blood cell growth induction. Many Veterinarians too prescribe this steroid for weak animals as it stimulate appetite and improves the growth of muscle, bone density and body mass.
